Compensation range: $75,000 - $95,000 annually

This is a full-time remote User Interface (UI) Designer role focused on designing accessible components, patterns, templates, and design systems for digital products.

Day-to-day tasks

• Creating UI layouts, visual designs, and high-fidelity mockups that align with Accuity's accessibility standards and W3C best practices
• Collaborating with UX researchers, developers, and content teams to translate requirements into intuitive interfaces and interaction patterns
• Refining designs based on research, usability findings, and accessibility audits
• Preparing design specifications and assets for implementation
• Maintaining design documentation to maintain consistency across the product lifecycle
• Supporting continuous improvement of accessibility in the design process

Required qualifications

• 3 years’ experience with UI design
• Portfolio to demonstrate skills using Figma
• Demonstrated proficiency in creating responsive layouts
• Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams (design, development, product, content) and communicating accessibility concepts to non-specialists.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of HTML / CSS / JavaScript as it relates to sufficient techniques within WCAG
• Knowledge of digital accessibility standards inclusive design principles, and assistive technologies
• Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems and pattern libraries
• Relevant education or equivalent practical experience in design, HCI, or a related field
